Privacy Policy — Friendy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

Friendy ("the app", "we", "us") lets you send thoughtful questions to people you know and see their answers. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Friendy you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Friendy is published by K P Ranjith. For any privacy question or request, contact: ranjithstar256@gmail.com.

Information we collect

The app does not access your location or camera, and does not sell your data.

Where your data is stored

Your account and content are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to your authenticated account and, for questions/requests you send, the specific recipient you chose.

How we use your information

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app: Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database, push notifications, analytics). We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. A person you send a question to will see your phone number and display name as the sender; a person you send a question to will see their own answer stored against your request.

Advertising ID

The app uses Firebase Analytics, which relies on the device's Advertising ID (or a similar identifier) to measure feature usage in aggregate. This is not used to build cross-app advertising profiles by us, and Friendy shows no ads.

Data retention & deletion

Your content is retained while your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, contact ranjithstar256@gmail.com and we will process the deletion.

Children

Friendy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
