AiBrainly ("the app", "we", "us") is an AI-assisted journaling and self-reflection app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using AiBrainly you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier, used to create and secure your account.
Content you create — your journal entries, moods, decisions, chat messages with the AI, and the AI-generated insights and long-term "memory" profile derived from them. This content can be personal and sensitive; you choose what to write.
Your preferences — such as your chosen name and coaching style.
Diagnostics & usage — crash reports and basic usage/analytics events, used to keep the app stable and improve it.

The app does not collect your location, does not access your camera or contacts, and does not sell your data.

How your content is processed by AI

To generate insights, coaching responses, and your memory profile, your relevant content is sent securely to our backend (Google Firebase Cloud Functions) and then to third-party AI providers — OpenAI and Anthropic — solely to generate a response for you. These providers process the content on our behalf as service providers. We do not use your content to train third-party models, and API providers state that data sent via their APIs is not used to train their models by default.

Where your data is stored

Your account and content are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) under industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to your authenticated account.

How we use your information

To provide the core journaling, insight, decision and chat features.
To maintain your long-term memory profile so the AI can recognise patterns over time.
To send you notifications you have enabled (e.g. reminders and recaps).
To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app: Google Firebase (hosting, auth, database, analytics, crash reporting) and the AI providers named above (content processing). We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

Data retention & deletion

Your content is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual entries in the app (a "Recently deleted" area lets you restore or permanently remove them). To delete your entire account and associated data, contact ranjithstar256@gmail.com and we will process the deletion.

Children

AiBrainly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
